Hedging Controversy - Another Opinion #1

In Response To: Hedging Controversy (Stick)

I had a couple people email me or message me their thoughts on the matter. I'm not sure why they didn't post them here but I hope they're ok with me posting their opinions on the matter without accrediting it to anyone in particular. I'm too lazy to wait and clear it with them because since they aren't being named I can't imagine they'd care. However if you do care, you can message me, swear at me, and I'll remove them ;)

Opinion #1:

The bet was made under false pretenses. Even though the actual payout was stated online, I can't imagine a court in the world ruling that I would have to pay out hedge money when I didn't receive the prize money as promised by my adversary.

At the very least, it's clear that there was no meeting of the minds when the wager was made.

As a jury member, I vote NO ACTION.
