David, glad you worked it out. BTW, I've now read as many "conditions of contest" as I can find. :)

One last little interesting tidbit to note in passing. Three of the most definite don’t pay anything votes came from Simborg and the other two tournament directors that I contacted personally. I wondered why that would be.

One possibility is that these experience arbitrators(?) performed a sniff test and didn't like the olfactory pulse they detected. (Just a speculation, of course.) After many years experience with BG players I suspect they've seen most of the spectrum.
