I agree with Bill. It is pretty outrageous that the tournament was promoted as 100,000 prize money guaranteed and then it didn't materialize. I would be pretty upset if I traveled to Punta Cana, expecting to compete for 100K, and faced this situation. I think there should be consequences for the organizers, and at the very least all 15 players should receive comped room, food, and perhaps some money for the flight expense.
