Potentially risky for a federation.

I guess what would be best is if the sponsor/guarantor (here: BetRich) would make a pledge, signed by someone with signing authority, about the guaranteed funds, and then say something like that the pledge is intended to be enforceable under the laws of XYZ by any players who have registered before some deadline date and/or by the first x registered players (creates an incentive for early registration, good for the organizer). Also include some outs, for example in case the event is found to be against the applicable laws and regulations and the usual force majeure clauses.

This should give both sides some comfort.
