I believe the language of a endorsement can reduce the risk of liability to where it is virtually eliminated, and yet perform a useful service to players. Essentially the service would ascertain if a proposed tournament meets certain standards that have been clearly spelled out.

I like your ideas for expansive information about tournaments and will look into the possibility of the USBGF doing something on this front.

One major deterrent to adding benefits as you outlined is that we have a dire shortage of people willing to volunteer their time. We seem to have an over abundance of worthwhile projects but we are hurting for people to implement them. Our recruiting efforts have met with limited success.
