8/2 is forced so it's between 24/23 and 6/5. At this score you figure Sam is going to double either play and you should take.

With the forced homeboard vulnerability I'm sitting tight on the anchor and creating a cover/builder with 6/5. You know Sam will strike anything that moves if you leave four blots around the table. I don't think the split gains enough (in terms of creating the possibility of a high anchor) to offset the barage.
