1. The cube location may matter here. With the cube turned, I'd feel fairly confident about the blitzing play 8/3*(2) 6/1*(2). But I think that if White dances then we overshoot, so perhaps 21/16(2) 8/3*(2) is a more efficient use of the cube? Not sure but I'll try 21/16(2) 8/3*(2).
2. I see only two plays to consider here, 11/8 11/7 and 7/4 7/3. 11/8 11/7 pretty much turns the game into an even race. Blue will waste some pips because of his gap on the 5pt and White may also be forced to bury checkers if she can't escape her back checkers. 7/4 7/3 aims to contain White's back checkers more effectively, blocking 66 of course and creating more variations where White either has to break her board prematurely or run with one checker and risk getting attacked. Of course after 7/4 7/3, Blue runs more risk of leaving a game-losing shot himself. If Blue were behind in the race, I'd play 7/4 7/3, but here I'd play the obvious 11/8 11/7.
3. I think Blue has enough threats to double here. The take is less clear to me. White has good timing for a deuce-point game and Blue has structural weaknesses (two checkers buried on the ace point, gaps in his home board, a straggler that needs to be safetied) that make me think White can take. D/T.
