I think you overestimate the number of matches required to draw meaningful conclusions.

Could it be that I am not just eyeballing Mikael's win rate?

You're the one who used the phrase 'I reckon'. If you would have said where you were getting the stats from or linked to them directly as Henrik did there would have been no confusion. 'I reckon' is the kind of phrase someone accusing the bots or a backgammon server of cheating would use.

It depends what kind of conclusions you want to draw. There are a lot more necessary steps that need to be taken before I'd even attempt to figure out what his win percentage means, if anything.
