...and I mistakenly thought Stick was referring to CMC's OP. Thus, in that context, match length mattered.

BTW: I did notice your assertion, but I don't think it's realistic for any two real players. And I don't even agree to your assertion's causality: suppose that A and B are equally strong. If they're equally strong, then they're equally likely to win any particular match, no matter how long the match is.
My point was, that "equally strong" doesn't guarantee same win-rates at different match lengths. Unless of course "equally strong" is defined more precise than just "plays the same avg. PR".
This is because matches of different length require different skills (DMP and unlimited/money being the two extremes) :-) So "equally strong" would have to mean "equally strong in all aspects of the game" - in effect you have to be playing vs. yourself for this to hold true.
