I have mixed emotions. Hitting two is very nice and very often correct, but in this particular circumstance I kind of like hitting on the 16. Takes away the slotted point he was working on toward making a five prime and costs him sixteen pips. I have the residual potential of picking up the fourth checker on the next roll. He doesn't have much to attack with either. Gives me a bit more flexibility -- w/o breaking the back two I'm vulnerable to large numbers and large doublets.

Not sure, but I'd probably go with 23/16*.
