Interesting. (OK, somebody will call this a 'next'. :) Lots of plays to consider, and hopefully I don't pull the lever too quickly, as I did yesterday.
Only one non-hitting play is on the radar -- making the 4-point.
The purest hit is 16/15*, 10/8 but look at all those return shots. Uh-uh. 16/15*/13 is only slightly fewer shots than that and three blots. Nope. So I'm not hitting on the 16-point.
After 10/9* we can continue on to the 7-point. We could play 8/6 instead but why settle for an inferior builder distribution. Finally I see 13/11. That new builder is safe (for this roll) but only gives us a few rolls next time for that checker to help make an outfield point. Meanwhile leaving the blot on the 9-point adds four shots for opp this turn. I don't like that trade.
Back to the non-hitting play. A big problem here is the 13 shots it gives opp. Allowing him his full roll with chances to safety one or both blots is a bonus. Can't be worth it.
10/9*/7
