We could run off the deepest point, but I don't see the rush. Opp gets a handful of hit+cover rolls is we try that. If we can improve our block (front or back) then even if opp's board improves (which it will soon) before our abandonment we might not have to leave a shot when clearing, and if we do we'll have the 5- or 6-prime to fall back on.
13/6 puts a checker in a very good building location, but leaves the lamey on the 10-point where it can't help with homeboard building. 13/9, 10/7 OTOH gives us three homeboard builders and both points at the back of the prime slotted. I count six (potential) hits but none of those cover the homeboard blot, so even if they are correct (probably not), we get a ton of gammon counterplay.
