Backgammon Literature on Doubling

First, a couple comments about Chris's bullet points: A) Robertie's Advanced Backgammon deserves 'honorable mention' along with those listed. The fact is that the libraries (public and private) are so devoid of discussion of doubling that books that hopefully one day soon will be considered trite now get accolades.
B) Pet peeve of mine and I'm 99% sure it's Robertie's coinage, but Encyclopedia of Backgammon is the most misleading title in backgammon literature. The only thing approaching an encyclopedia that I've seen is Tom Keith's website. (Lamest BG title of all time, IMO, also goes to Gammon Press -- Master vs. Amateur -- where the Amateurs outplayed the Master. Again, I'm rather certain that Robertie applied this title. Kit told me that he himself did not.)
Regarding PRaT and two of our resident giants' non-usage: I don't consider this damnation of the technique. I suspect there are a lot of methods in all endeavors that experts don't use because they have better tools. But short of putting in the time=effort to learn and master their personal favorites (which is how they became experts, afterall), some shortcuts can aid the altitudinally challenged. PRaT is (arguably) one of those.
