XG2 thinks you should play purer hitting and slotting the 5.Hoping either to make it or recycle that checker if hit.

In the original that play was not made, yet the game was won for what it is worth. Today the "expert" play was played 4 times. I did remember it was hard to win, going into some real tough backgames and some not so tough with a few more common patterns. But , not having the data( not my board), I really forgot how often it was won or lost from those 4 times. That the 3 point was made ( quoting Stick here) did not help either.
