I see three candidates: make the 9-point using the entire roll; make the barpoint and then either the 14-point or the 15-point.

The race just evened up so that changes our view of this game. The 20-point is the better point to keep in this holding game so that rules out making the 7- and 14-points.

Given we are in an even race, I don't think we want two defensive points that will be difficult to clear in the cases where the dice push us further into the race lead. This argues against stopping on the 15-point (and making the barpoint).

Finally, would we rather own the 7-point or the 9-point? Against the 21-point anchor, assuming we still have blocking in mind (which we do), the 9-point looks better to me. That further adds beef to the previous paragraph's preference:
