First, if the player rolls for aces he will make at least two, which is all he needs, about 77% of the time. This means a whopping 23% of the time he loses immediately. This is a lot higher than most people think.
You make a small straight on average just over 50% of the time. I think between 53-54%. That number you guys are seeing on the web is likely for rolling it in one turn.
Those couple of facts make a staggering change to your guesstimates. A warning again - I just woke up and pulled the numbers from memory but they still should be right. I'll make a more complete post later.
