If I understand your reasoning correctly, shifting Blue's spare checker from the 4pt to the 5pt will make 6/2 6/3 even clearer, right? This gives Blue an extra pip in the gammon race, and now Blue is not forced to blot after 63.

Unless maybe after we shift the 4pt spare to the 5pt, 7/4 7/3 will fill in two phantom gaps and become more attractive?
