OLM We 12/21/11

We have three approaches:
1) run out with the six and use the 3 outside (i.e. moving one of the two back checkers),
2) run out and play the 3 (safely) on the homeside, and
3) make our 2-point.
The advantage of using the entire roll for our two back checkers is that it saves the builder on the 8-point. The downside is that we leave more shots than if we stop on the 14-point and play 8/5. I count 9 or 10 vs. 5 immediate flyshots.
If we make the 2-point then our checker in opp's outfield still gets hit with 6-5 while the one in opp's board gets pointed upon with 1-1 and 2-2. I don't know for sure that the loose hit there is right, but if I were White I would. (There are a couple pick-and-pass options even if hitting and staying is wrong.) But ignoring those loose hits, there are two very good and two great rolls for White. To top it off, we will still need to get that back checker out and around, something we can begin now without giving opp the joker options. I vote for minimizing shots.
20/14, 8/5
