Playing vs bots

I'd suggest after playing the bot on its highest level for a long time and you have developed your game you de-world class the bot. For example I play Snowie and when I started all I did was play v. Snowie 3 ply, its strongest setting. After much play I realized what you're talking about, it sneaks up on cubes, you never have a real decision of whether it's a take/pass because it's almost always a take unless the last sequence was incredible. I knocked Snowie down to 1 ply and play v. it now almost exclusively. It offers early cubes, late cubes, drops takes & takes drops. More along the lines of what real play may be.
'Cheating' while playing the bots isn't bad as long as you select your play before you get the bot's advice. I prefer on those tough decisions to think about the plays, decide on my play, then see what the bot thinks at that moment. I still make my play but it's nice to have a real time answer, right or wrong, and then you can immediately try to figure out the reasoning behind the play if you were wrong.
