By the way, on an even money bet, shouldn't the probability of winning, on a $1 bet be:

1(1+1)= 0.5?

The decimal odds on an even bet would be 2.00 so 1/2.00 yields implicit odds of 0.50.

You risk $1 and stand to gain $1. Your formula would say the win probability is 1/(1+2) = .333
