blues advantage is having white trapped back on the 2 point, making the 3 point allows white to escape with 3-5 and 3-6, he also hits with 3-4.....playing 18-12 6-3 offers blue direct shots when white rolls his 3-6 or 3-5 , and the blot on the 3 point really doesnt give white any advantage if it is hit
