Having worked so hard to get marginally decent timing in these positions, you should not throw it away by hitting. You're not ready to contain a hit checker. Be patient.

Ponder this: why is 22/17 6/5 so much better than 13/7 in the first position? The answer may provide some insight into the hit vs. no-hit question.
