OT - Football Question bengals ravens

I did not hear the commentators. The commentators are wrong so often in positions like this, I rarely pay attention to them. Trying to logically explain illogical reasoning is difficult. I know the coaches fear the backlash of the fans and the front office, if they go against 'the book'(the commonly accepted way of doing things), regardless of how wrong 'the book' is. I am not sure what the commentators fear, if anything. Perhaps, they are, for the most part, just very poor in game theory. Atlanta's coach made many controversial decisions this year that were right and he got buried by the press, the fans, and the commentators.
