Sometimes in backgammon one has an ace to play in a bearoff and instead of calculating probabilities for each play ione can just see which play is better. If they kick the fg, they virtually are required to get a td with a 2 point conversion which would not be much easier than the current attempt for a Td. Let's say something like 40% instead of 30%. The 60 % of time that it is missed they are in big trouble either way so hardly any difference. So is the 30% gain of td insread of fg outweigh the 10% gain of fg instead of nothing assuming a subsequnt 2 pat is successful?
