What do you mean when you say the theme is "connectivity"? Seems to me Blue's main concern is: trailing badly in a mutual prime game, Blue needs to try to advance the back checkers instead of (1) trying to equalize (which he can't, since he's too far behind, and (2) passively submitting to being primed into an bad ace point game.

When you say "why the top 2 plays seem to conflict," which two plays are you talking about, and in which position?
