You get the initial one point because he passed. Then, he pays you one half point to take the 2 cube in his position. If you did indeed have the 25% needed to take you will win 4 points every four games (2 given + 2 for win) and he will win 4 points every four games (6 points for wins - 2 points given). I suspect that there are other good options but this one is probably the simplest.
