Sleeping on this one didn't seem to help. Candidates:
slot the 4-point (13/4),
run (23/14 looks much better than 24/15),
bring down two builders from the midpoint,
start the 20-point and bring one off the midpoint,
hit loose and bring down a builder, or
hit loose and start the 20-point.
Slotting doesn't look right as making that point still gives opp plenty of escape chances as well as many double hits. Running when behind in the race (into shots) looks wrong. I don't see enough value in hitting loose since it costs severely in a not-hopeless race and I don't think we're in need of the tempo (or protection). Two off the mid is OK but it forces our hand to clean up fairly quickly. Opp has a huge stack on the midpoint and wants to bring those into position. His 8-point is stripped and with only one back he's not hungry for loose hits. I like stepping up to the 20-point -- hopefully to make it but with the backup that (for now) it covers opp's outfield without a lot of risk.
24/20, 13/8
