OTB, I probably would have played 62S without much thought. However, as Paul rarely (if ever) posts a position with a mundane answer, I'll guess that 62D is better (thought I doubt it's by much.)
It is also worth pondering 65R-42P-32T-62 (same position except Blue owns his 4pt instead of his 5pt).
When Opp plays 65R (and has no diversified builder) and you slot your 5pt, Opp can't hit with 41 without having to also play a bad ace. That factor applies in the diagram above: if you slot your 7pt, Opp can't hit with 61 without leaving a blot on her own 7pt or 5pt.
That leads us to the pair below. (Boards are turned around so that the near-side player is on roll.) Who here is clever or lucky enough to correctly guess the right play with 61 in both positions?
