New Baffle box at local tournament

1. At the beginning of the game one person tosses a die into the box. We then moved the die to the side so the next die coming out of the box does not hit the first die and change the number.
At the private club here in L.A., where all tables have built in baffle boxes, the first die remains where it lies, and if the second die knocks the first die from a six to an ace (or whatever), then the final numbers on both dice are what is to be played. You run into sticky situations when you allow the first die to by moved with the hand, and the roller of the second die tosses his die before you are able to get your hand out of the way (causing interference to his roll), or your opponent disputes what number was on the first die after it has been touched with the hand.
2. If both players agreed to use a baffle box, the only legal rolls are one where the person uses the baffle box. This came up when using a cup it is easy to automatically roll on the board, that is not a legal roll and MUST be re rolled.
Absolutely... no exceptions.
3. It is simpler to not use a cup, just pick up the dice and toss them in the baffle box. There were no mistakes in rolling without using the baffle box this way.
I've heard stories (from a reliable source who witnessed a demonstration first hand) about how certain players, with much practice, are able to significantly increase their chances of rolling a specific number when tossing the die through the baffle box with the hand. All I can say is to be careful with whom you opt to allow this.
4. With the clock, baffle box and cube you have three things that should be on the side of the board and only two sides. We moved the cube to be next to the baffle box.
I would place the baffle box over the handled side of the board, the cube between the areas where the checkers are stored opposite the baffle box, and the clock just off the edge of the board opposite the baffle box. Even if you throw in a score card thingy, all this should not take more than about a foot of space beyond the ends of any board. Placing the cube next to the baffle box could be problematic, in that it would be out of the scope of vision for one of the players.
