I never said the dice had to be shaken. I think if the proper studies were performed with the baffle box and shown that plopping them in no matter how you do it via a cup still produced totally random rolls then that's fine. You may know of the Steve Sax shake ... he plays weekly and often uses a baffle box and then he dumps and doesn't shake from what I remember. I still shake out of habit more than anything when using a baffle box. It can't hurt ;-)

And I remind everyone that UBK's contention that "it couldn't hurt so why not...?" regarding uniformly distributing the second tier of dice in a rollout was shot down uncerimoniously here without a smidgen of evidence, so let's be consistent and refrain from using that argument.

Are you saying Xavier and myself dismissed this without any evidence that there would be little/no real effect? What's your confidence level on that?
