My first issue is the GP and there I want to keep both the 13-point and 11-points as long as possible. The 8-point is OK for now but eventually (maybe even soon) those will become builders. Still, assuming we keep the 8-point for a while there are only three other checkers that can be used for building and one of them is currently on the 16-point. I think staying there in hopes of using that outpost to pick off a running checker isn't close to being the its best use.

13/10, 8/2 looks a bit too safe when its consequence is starting the wrong homeboard point. Opp is forced to run off the anchor with {62, 63, 65} and being on the 10-point turns a triple shot into a quadruple in those cases. So for all of the above reasons 16/10 is my six. Now the three comes down to either 8/5 or 6/3. Noting that the 3-point is the next in line and opp has a homeboard blot to boot, 6/3 looks better than the temporizing 8/5.
