As stated, you have to look how the dicies are thrown into the baffle box. For me, the baffle box eliminates mostly cocked dice, dice on the floor, prolonged shaking. It will standardize the roll and disconnect him from luck and possible influence and other gambling attitudes toward an element of randomness that is constitutive for the game of backgammon. To handle this randomness is the skill needed. Not to have a strong arm. And a baffle box could stress this. That backgammon is not a game of luck, but an art in dealing with randomness.
