a deeper box is a bigger box. A bigger box is heavier, more expensive, more material, less portable. I'm not going to make something worse just because a few people who have not even yet tried my box are stretching their minds to come up with objections and complications that have no basis in fact and no real concern in action. With my box, it JUST DOESN'T MATTER if a die misses the first baffle, and you'd have to be an all-start athlete to be able to throw them in that well.

Personally, I don't care if people use cups or not. I have played with some people who said they would only use the box if they didn't have to use the cups, and that's fine with me. If someone is a crook and is going to switch dice on me, I am sure they can do it with or without cups, in fact, there are cups with false bottoms so that with a twist you can easily change the dice. For that to happen, the cheater will have to know exactly what color and size of dice were going to be used to start with in order to get away with the switch. If I have any suspicions about anyone, there is no way I sit down at their board with their dice and a funny looking dice cup and not introduce my dice, or insist on playing with a single set of dice to help reduce the problem.

For the most part, we know who the low-lifes and cheaters are, and everyone else I trust to be honest. I don't trust them to always be fair, to always shake their dice, to always follow the rules, and to roll properly, and that is why I want a baffle box.
