I'm always amazed by how many players, at all levels, obscess over the dice at tournaments. It's not a majority, but it's a surprisingly large minority. It seems to me the game is a lot more fun if you accept the dice rolls you get and just concentrate on making the right plays.

A baffle box should be a device to reduce stress, not increase it. Drop the dice in the box and take comfort in the fact that the result is as close to random as you're going to get.

If you're worried about cheating, dice cups aren't the solution -- if anything, they help a professional cheat hide what they're doing with the dice and provide a distraction. Much better is to adopt a standard method of dropping the dice into the box (such as described here) that leaves minimum opportunity for unusual hand movements and keeps the dice visible from the time they are released to the time they enter the box.

If you are worried about players swapping loaded dice into the game, a better solution is to use a dice tube.
