Poker dictionaries and bibliographies

There are a lot of webpages with definitions of poker terms (wiki's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poker_jargon seems as good as any), but none I've found give any history of usage. There's what looks like a good but out of date bibliography of 600-plus poker books published from 1829 to 2004 at http://www.holdemsecrets.com/books.htm.
Btw, according to that list, the first book on poker with "hold'em" in the title wasn't published until 1976! That was two years before Doyle Brunson's Supersystem, and nine years after "Texas Hold'em" was first played in a Las Vegas casino.
Robstown, Texas is the official birthplace of Texas Hold'em, according to the good ol' Texas Legislature. See http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/80R/billtext/html/HC00109H.htm
"a successful hold'em player relies on reason, intuition, and bravado, and these same qualities have served many notable Texans well throughout the proud history of the Lone Star State"
