Your play and why?

Hitting on the acepoint is a candidate (actually part of two candidate plays I see) but I don't like it. Opp's backmost checker is fine where it sits and there is a timing issue meaning you don't want opp on the bar where he can fan and improve his timing, particularly when the checker you put on the bar is already well blocked.
3(2) and 13/8, 13/9 both look decent. The first makes a point you want while the second keeps four in a row. Both plays almost force opp to give up his anchor if he's going to hit the outside blot.
I notice the simultaneous 2- and 8-points which always give me impetus to give up the 8-point. And making the 3-point leaves the midpoint as a backstop. However, giving up the midpoint puts more checkers in the zone.
This may come down to how important is the current opp roll compared to future rolls, and again that gets back to timing issues. 4's in general aren't all that good on White's side (compared to 5's) and this argues for holding the four block.
Still, I'm too much of a purist and "when it looks close..."
