Thank you, Jason. Nice to see someone take a principled stand (a correct one, in my opinion) and to put their money where their mouth is.

I appreciate you noting our new tournament in San Antonio next year. I have previously announced clocks will be required in Championship, Masters, and Doubles play. I like the improved mechanics of the clocked game and the better flow of the tournament schedule associated with clock usage. We are expecting large fields on a non-holiday weekend, scheduling will be very important.

I thank you for the added money for the Beginners/Novice prize pool. As we formulate the final tournament schedule/format/activities, and if you attend (which I very much hope will be the case), I will attempt to take advantage of your additional teaching offer. Others have made related offers for the benefit of Beginners/Novices -- there may be room, and time, for multiple sessions over the weekend to enhance the experience and the growth of new and/or young players.
