Slotting in positions like this is often corrent and often missed, even by the best players. I saw someone strong miss a nice bar point slot in Ohio just last weekend. I'm sure you can see that the slot is great when it is missed. What about when it is hit? Look at the position after the sequence, slot, 43R (24-20*, 20-17), 53 dance and a comparible sequence 13-10, 12-7 followed by 43R (24-17), 53 missing. How do these two ending positions compare? How much have you lost by slotting? Try some other sequences.
