Hitting is out -- too loose and gives up a good point. If Stick makes his 18-point, we'll just have to live with it.

17/12, 15/13 is interesting because it duplicates Stick's covering fives (super duped). But the other side is, how valuable is that checker there? It's not a point we want to make so why risk some unlucky sequences for a marginal builder?

Keep it Simple for Stick: 13/8, 17/15.
