If you don't enjoy poker I'd suggest quiting too. I must remind you to be careful when saying "poker is simpler" than backgammon because again, it's not, but what you probably meant to say is "NL texas hold 'em is simpler than backgammon" which I may be persuaded to agree with.

True, but to establish your bankroll you can start out with freerolls if you like. Chris Ferguson started with $1 and built it up to $10,000 (no lie, I can find the articles if you like) and I think he's set forth on another similar project.
