Nice position! But I don't understand your analysis. After any of the three plays, there are two direct cover numbers for the slotted point.

What I think is going on here is that since Blue still has some work to do before he completes his bear-in, getting hit on the 6pt is more painful than it would be if he had already completed (or almost completed) his bear-in. It would be worth thinking a bit about how to test this theory, though.
