Hi Mike,

thanks for your posting. Some clarifications and answers:

No information is given about the speed or responsiveness of this most advanced mode when running on a cell phone or tablet.
It depends heavily on the device, so no numbers can be given. There is a speed test included, when it evaluates more than 200 positions/second 2-ply reacts with the speed of a human player. My Nokia e63 evaluates around 300 pos/sec and older Sony Ericsson K750i evaluates around 120 pos/sec and is a little slow for 2-ply.
On phones some years ago you were fighting to get the program small and fast enough (see: http://www.bkgm.com/articles/Berger/MakingBGBlitz2go/ )

For the iPhone and Android, you must purchase the paid version of Backgammon Gold Premium (iPhone or Android) from mobivention in order to get BgBlitz2Go.
Due to the enormous increase of the resources it has the original BGBlitz engine incorporated (for 6 years one megabyte was good, nowadays 1000 megabytes are not unusual. Then the CPU was single core, slow and running at maybe 180-300 Mhz, nowadays you have dual or even quad core at 800 to 1400 Mhz) .

Will BgBlitz2Go be ported anytime soon to the Nook Tablet?
I know that Mobivention has an Nook, but I don't know whether they will port it to the nook. I'll forward the question.
