Question for Stick

The purpose of the thread was me bashing an article on gammonlife where the author of the article was doing the old apples to pumpkins comparison of poker v. bg. and the inherent skill levels. As I took it (and still take it) is that he thinks no hand is much worse off AI preflop than 25% which is a fallacy.
Well, let's be a little more up front. The writer was Frank Frigo, who happens to be not only a good friend but a business partner and (as everyone knows), a decent BG player. I know for a fact that he doesn't (and never has) felt that the 75% is the biggest advantage two cards can have over another two cards. For you to get off on this particular tangent means to me that you don't want to address the rest of the article. Forget that part, OK? Call yourself right (which I'm sure you'll do) or wrong on that one but forget it and get on with the real meet of Frank's contention.
Regarding Shannon Elizabeth, I realize she's got some poker smarts. I was mostly jabbing you, particularly because she seems to profess psychic abilities while she's playing. That was the main point of my jab. OTOH, the chances of her beating those three strong players in a row (and I think she started by beating Celine Dion's husband -- big whoop, another celebrity) was worth some discussion.
I recall another whine you had was the NLH is called 'poker' as if that is the only game. Well, live with the fact that this is all most people (and most of TV producers) care about. It's like a Mediteranean / Middle East backgammon player crying that the many other forms of backgammon aren't discussed by us. Do you agree with them? Let's see you create some posts on those other forms of BG.
So, back to the main point. Here's one to think about: find a situation in BG which is parallel to the HU part of a poker tournament. Then compare the probabilities of the raw novice winning that against a seasoned pro. Or is even this too unrealistic for you?
