Paul’s explanation came as something of a revelation. Once the veil is lifted it is impossible not to see. Duplication is the discriminating feature I sought. Thanks, Paul.

Tim couples that nicely with the notion that Z beats E or e because Blue cannot afford to “dilly-build” with the spares on his 6pt. Unstacking a virgin midpoint is probably just as important.
