BB is both big bet and big blind. Since there is no big bet in NL the reference of big blind only makes sense. Since there is a max. bet in limit .. yada yada yada.

Concerning (1), if you have a job your bankroll still should have nothing to do with your income. I won't go on a br management discourse but your bankroll should be completely separate from your other money.

(3), you are correct, win rate in poker is figured post rake.
