Normally the Jacoby rule should not have Fa significant influence on checker plays. However, gammon prices are generally reduced lower than the normal value of about 0.43 when Jacoby is not in effect. Here is the logic which considers the extremes of fully dead and fully live cubes:

Where Jacoby is not applied (broadly equivalent to centred cube position in a long even-scored match, the gammon price ranges from 0.5 to 0.4 for dead and live cubes respectively, with a typical value of about 0.43.

For Jacoby in operation, the dead cube situation changes dramatically, because there will be zero gammons. In effect it becomes equivalent to DMP. The live cube situation however is independent of Jacoby, because the threat of gammons (wins and losses) modify the cash and take-points as if they were still in operation. Consequently, where Jacoby is applied, the gammon price ranges from 0.0 to 0.4 for dead and live cubes respectively, with a typical value of about 0.3.

Summary: Generally the Jacoby rule will not significantly affect checker play unless positions can become very gammonish and volatile. Optimal checker play may then be affected by the reduced gammon price of about 0.3, compared to 0.43 where Jacoby does not apply.
