a few questions...

Stanley,
once again a very well written abstract from your side. Since I consider making my first steps into the pokerworld (I am an absolute beginner), I have a couple of questions:
Books: you mentioned that you got yourself a few books. Which titles helped you the most, and which ones were a waste of money?
Poker Academy: Can you please describe the benefits of this software? does it help you to understand the game and special situations in a similar way that Snowie helps you to work on your deficits?
Poker Tracker: What can you do with PT and how does it help to improve your game or work on your bad mistakes?
You described that you made pretty good progress over a couple of months and I already tracked your occasional postings here about poker. What would you say helped you the most to understand what is goin on at the tables? Play a lot? Read a lot? Or play a lot with PA?
In general, I have to say that I like your approach to this poker project, and I assume it has to do with your education as an engineer:
- start a project
- make a plan
- set goals
- get a lot of information about the thing (theory, books, and I am sure this includes poker forums as well)
- look out for the right tools (i.e. software)
- analyze it, measure it, evaluate it
More questions later, I think.
Cheers, Klaus
