21$-64K-42-31P-55 Position ID: sGfwBSDgOXiANA Match ID: UYkWAAAAAAAA In the position above, the best play is to hit outside, and run a checker to the midpoint. Three 5s are played on the far side of the board: 23/18 21/16 18/13. The last is played down (to or within the outer board) in order to hit: 16/11*. Because the ratios Far:Down:Jump:Inside = 3:1:0:0, this play belongs in the S (Split) family. Indeed, by the Hit Convention, it ranks atop that family.
The preceding post was written prior to tightening of the definition of R (Run). Today, a play nactated in the R family must move all parts of its roll on the far side of the board, with at least one checker landing between the 17pt and 13pt. But when this post was written, it was perfectly OK to turn the corner in a running play, so Nack correctly selected R for the play 23/13 21/11*. Today, that play is nactated S.
The feature position in the preceding post is thus reached by the sequence 21$-64K-42-31P-55S-54@-22.
21$-64K-42-31P-55S-54@-22 Position ID: sGfwAQPgOfIBMA Match ID: UQkJAAAAAAAA The definitions of G (Gremlin split), M (Mayfair split) and Y (Yoga split) Nack discusses in the preceding post have undergone some tinkering since Nack composed them. You can read up on the changes in the post Nactation of Doublets (complete table).
