Any little improvement in White's position makes a big difference. Below, (A) the original and (B) a checker moved from the 6 point to the 7 point. One could also compare (C) a checker moved from the 6 point to the 8 point, (D or E) a checker moved from the 13 point to the 7 or 8 point, or (F) checkers moved from 13 to 8 and from 6 to 7.
