**Postive Equity** **value for money** **reasonable hotel rates and registration fees** **variety i.e guest lectures, seminars, teaching** **two possibly three tier formats** indepth match analysis of finals""
BIBA scores very poorly on most of these player benefits. Result: poorly attended BG Events.
This Year: Scottish Open 14 in attendance, this months County Cups 12 in attendance and a list of tournaments (2011/12) where the average turnout is 20.
Backgammon in the UK is going through climate change. There is a new culture evolving. There are BG events sprouting up all over the place that most of the player benefits on my shopping list are in high demand and being delivered.
There is a new kind of BG player out there that wants to play backgammon but will seek elsewhere if the price is right. Tournaments like the Liverpool Open, Blackpool Open are in high demand. Places for these events fill up very quickly and often weeks before the tournament date. These events offer an excellent return on ones' investment.
BIBA, dont ask want your members can do for you; ask what you can for your members.
